Branch Out funds research into complementary and alternative modalities of treating brain disorders, which we have termed NeuroCAM. We added Neurotechnology as a modality to our funding mandate in 2016 to complement our existing research funding streams of Mind and Body Modalities, Nutraceutical treatments, and Personalized Medicine. We are thrilled to be supporting the innovation involving BCI technology at NeurAlbertaTech's natHACKS event. With applications ranging from diagnostic tools and biofeedback platforms in the general population to communication aids in neurodevelopmental populations, the technology that could emerge from natHACKS would actively advance our mandate of supporting laboratory ideas to community impact.
