NeurAlbertaTech, Alberta’s leading neurotech innovator network has claimed victory in the Community Initiative Division at the 34th annual ASTech Awards along with being a finalist in the Early Adoption of Innovation category. This top Alberta business award and recognition by Technology Alberta is a testament to NAT’s dedication to fostering innovation in the rapidly growing field of neurotechnology through their unique talent-first approach and annual keystone event natHACKS.

Community Initiative

NeurAlbertaTech has spearheaded the creation of a world-class neurotechnology Ecosystem in Alberta. As part of this commitment, NeurAlbertaTech has led speaker-series events like natChat, which connects brilliant talent with aspiring neurotechnologists, workshops to empower innovators and professionals, and lastly natHACKS– Alberta’s largest hackathon and Canada’s largest neurotech hackathon, creating a bridge between Industry Experts, Students and Academia to work on creating solutions to the problems of today.

“(It is) incredible how much support and encouragement we (NAT) have received from the innovation community. Growing from a small student organization from UofA to becoming a young NPO in such a short time was only made possible with the help from the community.” said Chief Operating Officer Zach Selk as he accepted the award on behalf of NeurAlbertaTech.

As a burgeoning NPO, it brings us the utmost amount of joy to see our work reach people and bring about a positive impact on society. Winning the Community Initiative Award at the 34th ASTech Awards is a testament to our work, which only motivates us to increase our impact and strive to reach greater heights. This heightened credibility will open doors to exciting new partnerships, collaborations, and opportunities in the future.
