OBI is a non-for profit organization dedicated to accelerating discovery and innovation for both patient and economical benefit. OBI seeks to establish Ontario as a world leader in brain research, commercialization and care. Through world-class research and expert opinions, OBI manages a vast portfolio of research companies, promoting the commercialization of early-stage neurotechnologies through collaboration. The NERVE (Neurotech Entrepreneurship to Validate Emerging Innovations) Program is an excellent example of OBI’s initiative, standing as Canada’s single largest award to catalyze early stage entrepreneurs to commercialize brain-related technologies. This award is valued at $100,000, a testament to the ecosystem-driving force of the OBI.

As the Ontario Brain Institute continues to push boundaries of innovation at the intersection of neurotechnology and entrepreneurship, the INVENTURE$ Neurotech Pitch Competition represents a key initiative in driving forward their mission. Through fostering a culture of applying an integrative approach towards solving brain-related challenges, OBI seeks to catalyze the development and adoption of powerful technologies to improve lives while providing economic benefit to Ontario.

NeurAlbertaTech (NAT) is extremely proud to collaborate with the OBI and many other outstanding partner organizations involved in bringing the INVENTURE$ Neurotech Pitch Competition to life! By being a part of the planning committee, NAT will provide local expertise alongside community engagement to advance neurotechnology in Alberta.
